PeopleForBikes is a national non-profit bicycle advocacy organization based in Boulder, Colorado. PeopleForBikes is uniting millions of individuals, thousands of businesses and hundreds of communities to make bike riding better for everyone.
PeopleForBikes launched an app called Ride Spot and contacted Snowy Peak to create an animation explaining its use. Ride Spot is an app that beginner and intermediate riders can use to find routes around the U.S. removing some of the barriers new riders face like where to ride and who to ride with. The goal being to get as many people on bikes as possible so that they will go from infrequent riders to more seasoned cyclists. PeopleForBikes wanted to create a short animated video introducing Ride Spot to the public and sharing their message.
After an introductory call and some research inside the app, we began script development for a custom 70-second 2D Animation video. Chris Walsh designed 3 style boards and PeopleForBikes was in love. We then developed a custom storyboard, auditioned female voice-over artists and began the animation process in Adobe After Effects.
PeopleForBikes is very happy with the animated video we created for the RideSpot app. The process went very smoothly, and we look forward to helping out with their future video and animation needs.
