
Paul Chenevert, the founder and owner of Chenevert’s Home Services, contacted us with a very large challenge. He has been successfully growing his business for the past 5 years and realized it was time to take his marketing to the next level. To do this, he wanted to make the big move to television advertising. After researching companies that could handle what he needed, he reached out, asking us to build him a humorous TV ad campaign that would separate him from his competitors. He wanted to create ads that are memorable and drive home how his company operates. He also wanted to get started immediately and have commercials on air within 1 month.

Through collaboration with Paul and his marketing team, we settled on creating videos in a similar style to the classic Dollar Shave Club ad. This required an actor who can pull off an approachable, trustworthy demeanor while carrying a little snarkiness. We developed three scripts highlighting two services Chenevert’s offers and filmed over 2 days. This was a huge undertaking. We all pulled multiple duties, from helping set lights to directing, and truly came together as a team to get this done! Snowy Peak is always ready to travel! This project had us booking flights and finding local support crew all within 2 weeks of signing the agreement with Paul. We filmed these spots on a Sony FX6. This allowed us to film with a smaller, more nimble crew and adjust to varying lighting conditions more quickly than if we’d used our RED Raptor without sacrificing significant quality. The combination of a great client, fun concepts, and a great crew created some phenomenal commercials. Paul and his team also trusted us to handle the media buy. Through the use of CTV and OTT, we placed his ads on appointment TV programming and set up a retargeting campaign to drive home the messaging. This allows us to follow viewers from the TV they watch, to their social media feeds, and ultimately to the websites they visit via retargeting. By doing this, we build brand recognition and utilize multi-touchpoint- style marketing to keep our customers top of mind and their first choice for services.

Paul trusted us with the look, style, and pacing of the ads, even allowing us to include some shots that most customers and corporations would typically cut. In the end, we created some really great ads that emphasize his company's values but kept a lighthearted approach, making them stand out from the standard HVAC and Plumbing ads most companies use. We created three 30-second commercials, all with slightly longer, full-length versions for use on their website, three 15-second, and three 06-second versions for use on Social Media and as Pre-Rolls on YouTube, AND a brand film to showcase why Chenevert’s is truly a different HVAC and Plumbing company. Returns are coming in, and the simple truth is, while it was a lot of work, it was completely worth it! Chenevert’s has already hired three new technicians and is in the process of adding more trucks to its fleet. We have over-delivered on impressions, and their call board is lighting up! Chad is an Emmy Award Winning Motion Graphics Artist with over 20 years of experience in the television news and video production industry. At an early age he loved to draw and create. While in high school at the age of 16 he landed his first professional art job working as a Caricature artist. Later he went on to own an airbrush retail company and has transitioned his skills as an artist into his motion graphics work. He is a self-taught VFX and Motion Designer with an emphasis in Adobe After Effects. Chad has a strong foundation in storytelling and thinks outside the box to challenge himself and make his work come to life. Chad is currently the owner of Pixel Beer Media and works alongside Snowy Peak Films to create engaging visual effects and motion graphics.
